“For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified”

-1 Corinthians 2:2

Our Faith

Our church believes in unity.  The Presbyterian logo contains the phrase, “that they all may be one.”  We unite in song, dance, praise, and adoration for our Maker. We unite in hearing the word and attending our respective church groups.  We unite in sharing our testimonies and supporting each other through various activities (i.e. funerals, weddings, baby naming, thanksgivings, and birthdays).  Unity is what we believe and strive for in our church. Unity doesn’t always come easy, but it’s in the attempt that we learn together and work towards this goal as a church family.

Faith Meets Culture

Our church believes in maintaining and/or representing our Ghanaian culture as much as possible.  Although we have adapted to the changes necessary to accommodate life here in Canada, it is very important in our church to maintain the culture we proudly belong.  We are Ghanaians; and it is seen in our music, our clothes, and in our dialects. Our faith includes praising our Lord and Saviour in our respective dialects; while teaching our young ones about our roots and culture.  Our church is not only a church, but the better part of our Ghanaian community; where we can bond closely with people of the same faith and culture. Our culture is present in everything we do, and we gladly share it with anyone who steps through our church’s doors.

A Strong Foundation

Our church is grounded and strengthened by our belief in the Trinity; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  It is our faith in the Trinity that carries us through our teachings, our worship, and our spiritual lives. Our belief that God has three forms and uses these three forms to reach out to us, is what encourages us and strengthens us through our individual trials.  We believe that God really did love us so much that he sent His son, a part of himself, to die for us and become the Spirit that embraces us every second of our lives. We believe that Jesus, the Son, was crucified for our sins and that He brings us Salvation, grace, and redemption from our sins.  We believe that the spirit watches over us at all times and lends us strength in times of need.

As a church that belongs to the reformed tradition or family, we believe in the Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting.  As a result, our doors are opened to other people of different cultures and backgrounds. We believe that God is not a respecter of persons. In other words, our God does not discriminate against anyone.  Hence, we embrace all people, irrespective of their backgrounds.

Our belief is that prayer is powerful and can do great things; and so we pray for our members, our leaders, our community, and our country as much as possible.  It is our prayer that we all may be one and that the Lord will continue to answer our prayers for our church and its members. We pray that our church will touch the lives of many and reach out to whoever is reading this.  God bless and keep you.
